Smart tech, such as fast Wi-Fi, streaming services, and keyless entry, consistently gets positive feedback, as do luxury bathroom additions like plush towels and rain showers.

That is smart business.Most people, as you said, just fake it so poorly.

They aren't looking for 10% returns and they probably love the idea of getting some cash legally out of Canada.I got into Costa Rica because of the country (it's awesome), what's happening to real estate prices there and in the US (they are nuts here) and the amount of development that's happening around Potrero, the technology advancements in the STR industry, proximity to the beach etc.

Than be smart, site back and listen, take it all in, be a good student. 

What about tenants that don't have smart phones or  aren't comfortable using mobile apps? 

That really isn't good enough in our opinion.Another option for you is if your property is in a realtively safe area, to install a wi-fi connected smart lock.

Caveat is that you should be reinvesting those profits back into other smart investments so that you aren't missing out on compounding gains.
