If your a Christian like me I’d probably observe a moment of silence and/or say a short prayer to myself for the event

Always flinch.A good flinch followed by silence?   

@Will Parker I read his book (Never Split the Difference) a few months ago, and it was a real game changer.TL;DR:  I used the 65%/85%/95%/100% increasing offer tactic, huge amounts of tactical empathy and I refused to speak first whenever possible (yes, I had to embrace the power of the awkward silence)For this deal, I made it a point not to speak first. 

I do not intend for this to sound like a commercial for Bigger Pockets, but I explained what I did in the above paragraphs to give context to just how important it was for someone like me to have this information laid out in the format in which it was.I had taken a job at a warehouse and after spending several months in silence alone decided I needed to find a way to occupy my mind.

It’s amazing because meditation can not only silence the mind but you can also utilize it in the mornings to picture where you want to take your real estate game.Try 2 minutes in the morning and 2 minutes at night.

My normal tendency is to research in silence, I'm trying to break that habit and reach out before I think I've got it all figured out.

You may end up with a call in 3 months asking for some tidbit of information and then radio silence again for another 2 months.

Some ppl don’t care at all, for others it is a developed skill to learn to silence the noise around them and can be a hurdle to overcome, but overcome it we must.

There's a similar silence about what happens when you're selling a portfolio of long-distance turnkey SFRs that have been run by a property manager and maintained by Bozo the Clown for twenty years, all those pesky little things obviously wrong with these places that slip the owner's notice year after year after year...I have four possible exit strategies and none of them looks particularly appealing.
