You are looking for a practical advice now to CYA.You fear you mean need some evidence of your timely and correct actions, and that’s a reasonable concern: I’d take a photo of the envelope to make sure it shows the address and the post office stamp.

I’d think most renters would have their own charger depending on the plug types used.Until EVs are much more prevalent and the standard is 100% aligned for charger I don’t think we’ll see a lot of them except at mega complexes, and to your point it’ll probably be a manager who wants a write off for theirs.

I understand the tension of customers not wanting to constantly give everything up front for fear of the contractor having no incentive to work quickly, and even worse the possibility of them running off with the cash...but in the same breath the contractor wants to be certain that the customer is in fact going to pay, and pay in a timely manner.

I could have great income streaming for multiple years and then some economic hit like Covid or the next pandemic and work could go out the door for multiple months.It comes down to a fear of losing a bunch of work and not being able to find more, while I have to be paying off property.Thats why I’m debating if waiting a lot longer and saving up a large savings account is smarter.
