@Adam CraigHI Adam,You like red, a  dark red might work, but  maybe for the trim instead of the door, with sand color for the main part, and an earth color for the doors (front and back) to make them look "inviting".Whatever colors you choose, it's always wise to have the painters try them on a small part of the front so you can see them before you commit to buying several gallons.Sherwin Williams codes:Good Luck!

Common rookie mistakes, having your painter do his job before the electrician.

I got stiffed by a painter one time that ended up being a crack head.

If you hire a painter specify this, because all painters use flat paint in most of the house because it hides imperfections better.  

Owning a painting business I assume you at least know a few good painters and probably have a good idea of who does quality dry wall work in the area.

Then 2 weeks before they moved out we were supposed to have painters come i and paint.

My painter recommended spraying them.

The contractors I've used in the past have been a mixed bag (I have a great hardwood floor guy & painter, others not so much). 

Unfortunately Rochester is a little to far for my painters. 

Get an estimate from a painter for the repairs.
