I started investing in real estate with a buddy in Iowa, but my wife and I just moved to Kansas City so she could go to med school.

We have never been to an auction & have no idea how many properties and or how many people/investors will be there - we may get blown out of the water from the beginning - but we're hoping this is a smaller/med town & maybe not too many investors & hopefully not to many worrying about an investment as small as this.

With my huge med school loans I have nothing right now to invest, so I'd be looking for some hard money lending to get started.

Just like many med school students don't know what type of doctor they want to become until they take certain classes and do different clinical rotations.

I just rented out a 1 bedroom to a USC med student.I want to do this again but I am looking to invest certain cities in the midwest where rent for a 2-3 bedroom costs $1500 - $2000 on one side of a duplex that would command 2-3 times more to buy in Los Angeles in a duplex that is similarly priced. 

My sis is a doc (rad:) & I wish the Med school taught you all more about financing & real estate.

My girlfriend is doing her clinicals there for med school, so I'd like to buy a house there for the next 18 months, then rent it out.

I have my 2nd Unit rented to Med students for 16 months already... i only intend on using my unit for AIRBNB since I know I'll be gone Mon-Thurs.... and I have the flexibility to take flights Sunday night and not return until Friday if the users need it for the entire week.
