I flipped and did some buy and hold when I lived in Florida.   

It isn't a big job but I don't want things to go south so I stay in it.Of course I practically live on this forum so I pass along any pertinent info I find as well as answer questions.

Ideally we would love to live in my childhood home.

And in terms of Nottinghamshire as a place to live, I do some investing in this area so happy to help with local knowledge.

I live in Manchester NH as well. 

I suppose I would not be looking for a primary residence immediately as I won’t live in it while I’m still living overseas.

I won't be able to make the cottage legal rental without living in the primary home myself.

Reason being is that I'm not a US citizen and I do not live in the US.
