Your commission split will be higher in favor of the broker, BUT it's a good place to experiment and have your training wheels before branching off onto other brokerages that give you a better split. 

I say start local to you, find a few promising neighborhoods then branch out.

Another reason why I'm branching out from my local market.* Purchase criteria: Spending so much time on BP, I'm most familiar with fix-and-flip and construction loans.

I am looking at Spring Branch and west side of inner loop like Heights and Rice Military.

They can walk in any branch with a personal check or cash, or pay online via ACH bank-to-bank transfer.  

With the virus, the Dollar rental branch closed in my town, and being off grid, I didn't have any utility bills for Enterprise.

We use RBC as they have a branch down in Georgia for Canadians.
