In talking with my agent later, she said that a lot of buyers are scared off because you can see the beams, and know there was something wrong with it.Having the paperwork, and even better some kind of warranty would help to ally that fear, though some may react negatively out of instinct.

Investors need to be patient and laser focused on their own personal investment strategy so they do not get caught up in any new hype and stick to the investments that fullfill their personal plan.

Where the roof leaked and was patched you also need to look in the crawl space and make sure there is no rot or mold on the beams between the ceiling and the roof. 

And of course they couldn't drill the hole under the fridge or stove, because there was a support beam going through.

Altering these walls is possible, as long as there is a beam that adequately spans the removal to carry the load.

The area is known for these issues and it seems every other home has a beamed basement.

Everything from high end laser inlay fountain pens to "daily-driver" twist pens to corporate gifts.

If I had any advice to a new investor is to keep laser focus on your goal and to not eliminate a certain type of investment that may differ from your original plan.
