Then I had my roofer go out and look at the roof to ensure there were no leaks or any of the roof compromised in any way.The remediation company did say there was some moisture in the attic in a small area where the outer part of the roof contains leaf debris.

Completely shutting off utilities for a prolonged period of time can damage the property since it will not be climate controlled for that period which can lead to moisture damage, mold, and other costly repairs if it goes on long enough.

Sadly, we are 2-weeks behind on our renovation (#1 above) due primarily to scope creep ... we had to replace 28' of external wall: 12' due to rot from a leaky penetration for a though wall air conditioner; another 16' due to improper framing when the unit was first converted from a garage/workshop into an apartment {long before we bought the building}.
