Things like income documentation, background checks, credit reports, etc mean a lot more to me.

What documents do they require, what credit scores do they allow, how do they verify previous rental history, etc.?

I hear the same story about how the general economy, my length of time owning the business, etc are reasons credit unions (same ones who were on board before I bought the brewery) are now not willing to finance. 

We want to use that money for a home and we live in NY and probably cant get anything unless we get more income and  bit better credit.

My husband and I have W2 income and excellent credit and no debt except our mortgage. 

At this point, I would recommend having a line of credit to cover these things so you don't have money sitting in the bank doing nothing when it could be put to work.I have 33 units, no debt except for mortgages, and excellent income.

I will definitely reach out when I’m closer to purchase ready to make sure I’m on the right track.
