Lost and want to begin

Posted

Hello Everyone,

This might be a little uncomfortable to say but I don't know where else to go. My wife and I have 30k saved and can only get a mortgage of 150k because my wife doesn't work because she takes care of my two kids. I am a new real estate agent who wants to get started and close deals but that has not happened yet. We want to use that money for a home and we live in NY and probably cant get anything unless we get more income and bit better credit. I have a full time job but that is not enough.. My bills for cars and insurance is a lot so I'm screwed with that . But I want to become a REI and remain an agent. I don't know where to g at this point and could use ay kind advice, insults or critique of what I could do here to get things started

Be kind to yourself. We've all been there. It's a slow and steady journey of sacrifice, living below your means, delayed gratification, and just getting the snowball rolling down the hill. Getting from 0 to 1 and 1 to 2 properties is going to be the hardest part.

You're on the right track, though. Keep your day job and start grinding through being an agent. The first year is going to be really hard.

I have nothing to sell and would be happy to help if you think that I can be a resource. Please send me a DM if you want to chat in more detail.
