Despite the majority of foreclosures being available published in my local county newspaper via a Notice of Sale, I’ve recently noticed some properties make it to the auction block that were never listed. 

There's no way some average $7.5mm luxury home in Vegas would have made the newspaper or a blog/forum without it..

I wouldn't waste my time with newspaper print or really even online.

I do all the online marketing and newspaper ads as well, but the ol' sign in the window still gets the best results.

The biggest thing I noticed that either means not vacant or recently vacant is the newspaper in the driveway.

People Google everything these days instead of using the newspaper or that big yellow book.

You have to prove that you did in fact try to rent the apartment ie show ad clippings from the news paper, printed craigslist ads that show the date of the posting, show the list of apartment showings you had, etc.
