It would entail finding a home that comes close to what you want and then getting FHA 203(K) loan and adding/remodeling to your liking.

Hi Jason,Before calling a contractor you have to call your local utility companies:Gas, Electric & Water respectively and ask them what is entailed because they all will need separate meters and lines.  

If you file for ejectment and are able to get a default judgment, and then make improvements, they might later be able to assert the tax sale was void and not pay you anything for the improvements.
