I have been searching in multiple towns in Massachusetts, mostly in the eastern side of the state.

In 2002 I was 19 and invested $50,000 I had saved to purchase a 5 unit apartment building across for Eastern Michigan Universities Business School.

Eastern shore is also an area I'm eyeing along with Baltimore County and even Howard County if I can find a decent enough deal.

I had samples at both a eastern and western location within two days at no charge.

The Wake Stone quarry in South Eastern NC (actually out of SC) kind of has a lock on that geographic area for many aggregates, so my observation is people should add "competitive forces" to what Jay said in his above post.

I'm optimistic about Marshall Square (eastern Little Village) with the proximity to the pink line & Pilsen along with a decent retail presence in the area.I think Canaryville is a bit underrated since I hardly hear anyone talk about it.

Theses homes are pretty concentrated in Eastern NC, where I live, I have always been able to scout the homes out.

We are primarily looking in eastern TN, but have looked in NC and SC as well.
