i'm thinking of making one with poured cement as its for outdoors in a private spot in my backyard (very simple, open, like the type near beaches and pools, but i do want a pan so i can redirect grey water down the pan's drain to the area of garden i want it to go. yea i like to take showers outdoors in the summer instead of tracking dirt/mud into the house, as am an avid gardener and it reminds me of my vacations overseas of which these days it doesn't look i'll be going on anytime soon cuz of my finances =/

If you do a search there is a great debate about this topic, that I believe started a little tongue-in-cheek but eventually grew to a mud slinging contest.That rule, in my opinion, is a very early qualifying factor.

I work for my families general contracting business and right now the three hardest trades to deal with are:FramersDrywall, Mud and TapePlumbers So that being said the three skills I would suggest learning:Interior framingMud and taping Tile setting (I heard on a BP podcast this is the best way at the end of the project to save money.)

Our contract with contractors stipulates exactly what we provide and that they are to provide nails, caulk, tape, mud, smaller items like that.

Personally, I don't like spending my time gathering sheet rock, 2x4s, mud, etc - or being available to pay via phone (Home Depot).
