I worked several side jobs to supplement my writing income, paid my half of our college-age children’s tuition and medical expenses, bought a Yaris, and lived frugally.

I am currently signing up for every other travel site I can find.

My wife and I are both  medical professionals  and we make a decent income but we would really like  to get into real estate investing within the next couple years,  primarily  buy and hold multi family properties. 

Last year I just got medically retired from the Army, myself. 

My travel schedule is all over the board, but would love to get something going in our area. 

@Andrew Postell it's my primary residence. i plan to move in for a while (i'm in an apartment during renovations) but once I have it completed (2-4mos), i'd like to rent it out while I travel.

I am purchasing a property 3 blocks away for a large, well-known medical establishment (3 hospitals, bio-science facility etc.)-  20 minutes from dt Denver.

You could rent it out for $1700/mo with traveling nurses.
