The Black Diamond events that @Ann Bellamy hosts in Waltham (2nd location in Worcester) are also great.There is also a REIA in Boston and if you want to travel a little farther there are quite a few things south of the city and some stuff in NH.Besides that keep listening to the podcasts here and reading the articles, blogs and forums and you will learn a lot.

Some other good ones that are pretty easy would be the Black Diamond meetings, which Ann is one of the co-hosts of, in both Worcester and Waltham (Believe next meetings are the 20th and 27th respectively).

More towards Boston you should look at the Boston Area REIA in Medford and definitely check out the Black Diamond meeting in Worcester.

At least in the distressed SFR market.. remember they are only out for themselves generally and who ever brings them the deal.homeowners you can bond with and will respect you as the authority . and if you market correctly and keep dripping them when they go to sell your still their realtor.. now again this changes if you happen to find that diamond out there a very high volume SFR buyer that has some loyalty to their agents.
