I think they are an expensive liability and it is going to be increasingly difficult to find tenants that want to live in them and bear the costs of electricity, whether directly or indirectly.

You are considered to be a "Disqualified person" to your IRA and can not receive any direct or indirect benefit from your IRA.

Shera,you are correct, you are not allowed to receive any personal benefits directly or indirectly from the IRA (getting paid commissions) or provide any services to the IRA (agent representation).
