While these examples are definitely applicable I'd propose they're extreme cases and hyperinflation can easily be defined as what the US experienced in the 1970's when consumer prices doubled and tripled in the span of just a few years.

It is wrong to assume all components are new and then estimate the CapEX costs because it works against a conservative approach (i.e. new roof at $7/sqft when roof is actually 12 years old, this should be captured at $14/sqft instead, assuming 24 year life span).
