."), "what is causing your client to do (whatever thing)", rather than "why is your client doing (whatever it is)".Way more than just that stuff and I took pages of notes on the book, but basically it ties in to what Kobe was saying about making the person feel heard.That being said, it was a helpful book for me because my first and immediate reaction is to want to simply pepper spray people like that in the face - which I'm guessing would also work here. :)  You're in a difficult spot because you're trying to protect your seller.

The fire was put out and there was no fire damage to my unit, however, there is water damage from the immense amount of water the fire department sprayed in the upstairs unit.From what I can see, my ceiling has extensive damage and is partially sagging in the living room, the wood floors are buckling, and the ceiling in the bedroom and kitchen are all damp.

The pool filter backwash drain was actually directed at the side of the house, so if you backwashed the filter, it sprayed the side of the house.

And just in case you want to shop the paint yourself which I recommend if you want to save the money you are looking at about:10 gallons for walls, if all one color  (satin or eggshell) double rolled5 gallons for ceilings, closets (flat) spray2-3 gallon for trim, baseboard, shelving doors, etc. ( semi - gloss) but better off just getting the 5 gallon ...also sprayed

Purchase price: $308,000 Cash invested: $22,000 Purchased from an investor that had me install a new furnace and AC in it 3 years back. the home had been a rental for 15+ years and most recently had a family of 7 living in it. rehab included replaced all flooring in the home (installed by the renter of my townhouse, he is a flooring contractor) re sprayed the ceilings and painted every wall.
