AAPL is another one  that is just a private organization that teach's folks how to lend their own money or others in states its legal and they have courses and info and a big convention etc and you get to say your certified AAPL lender ..

It isn't a big job but I don't want things to go south so I stay in it.Of course I practically live on this forum so I pass along any pertinent info I find as well as answer questions.

I think they meet in person, but not sure it may be on zoom - they are not members of MAREI, so I don't have all the info - they do post their meeting on Meetup.And there are a lot of virtual meetings, plus MAREI events on our calendar.
