I'm hesitant to buy fixer uppers out of state so I'd likely look at turnkey properties and property managers in growing markets where "1% Rule" cashflow properties are more prevalent.

And in a city like Austin or Dallas, it seems like construction is always prevalent so it will affect supply despite the influx of new workers moving to the central and north Texas. 

Do you think in a market where interest rates are +/- around double where they were last year - that seller financing deals will be more prevalent? 

I'm going to assume that there isn't strong, prevalent zoning in the area.

Also, multi-units aren't as prevalent here as in other areas.

Not sure how prevalent that is but it is out there.Another thing is the support for Schlage systems seems to be better in the Z Wave community.

I unfortunately have had poor experiences in properties using both platforms, but I will say it does appear to be more prevalent on Airbnb listed properties than VRBO.

VRBO is more prevalent in this area.

@DB BrooksWhile I am fairly well acquainted with older buildings - we have a couple from the latter half of the 19th century and more from the early 1900s - I do not know the particulars of being in that warm of a humid environment (it gets humid along the cost here, but only warm for half the year).You do want to look at the plumbing, though in a depression era house, I would suspect galvanized supply and drain lines to be more prevalent than lead (though they are possible).
