as most of these were institutional owned so leasing them from the lenders who want to liquidate did not work. 

And if/when ready to liquidate some and step up into bigger $ play where it can be a win-win. 

We're in the larger multifamily space, but regardless location is pretty universal.

I know the larger companies around here were charging up to 25% but it will probably vary no matter where you are at.  

This also helped us in an unattended way when investing with my Solo 401k because banks treated the funds as liquid when invested in a public traded exchange versus in their fund and helped with securing better commercial financing on a deal because of the strength of our application in liquid assets.

The asset was sold a couple years later and the operator gave all investors the option to exchange into a new acquisition or liquidate.
