US immigration ran a criminal background check on me when I came to the USA 35 years ago (it was clean!)

Hello guys,I am a new immigrant here in Toronto, Canada.

An immigration attorney told me I had to had a functioning business before my application and that I had to have the business functioning with 2-3 houses before I apply (I don´t know how I can have a Homevestors franchise running before I get there to start running it).

I am looking to buy my first investment property in US but the problem is that I am currently living in British Columbia, and I am only an immigrant here.

I need to do some research and message around a bunch of lenders to see what their lending criteria is for someone like me coming over on a non-immigrant visa (can be renewed indefinitely).

Goals and story: My friend is a foreign national, immigration status has been approved but still waiting on green card, has social security and runs a lucrative business that mostly deals in cash.

In my area, that includes the following:Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Familial Status, National Origin, Disability, Military Status, Sexual Orientation, Age, Creed, Marital Status, Gender Identity, Source of Income, Immigration and Citizenship StatusBeing 19 y/o, the tenant is feels that this is unfair treatment based on age.
