She's actually a couple years younger than me, so I actually took her to senior prom in it, we went on numerous road trips, and to be quite honest, that car was as much a part of our history and relationship as anything else - and I'm not sure my financial portfolio could have given those same memories and for that I'm thankful, even if a bigger investment portfolio could have flourished into other types of memories.

I normally don't advise seeing an attorney for something this vanilla but based on your post, I can tell that your new to this and I would highly recommend you seek legal council before you make this loan.. as others have stated.. a Prom note alone is not security its only as good as the guy or gal signing it and if they need money from U usually means they have no real assets.. so if you had to collect you would probably lose most if not all your money.

Our Galveston TX str has had a slower than expected launch. 5 reservations since launch, and 3-4 other inquiries we couldn’t fulfill for one reason or another (usually too many guests and / or prom parties; don’t want to be too bad of a neighbor and let things get out of hand).
