I'll often tell people that it's better to sit on the sidelines and not make any rash decisions as opposed to jumping into a bad deal that might cost you lots of money in the end.

Dock rash, going through shallows and dinging props, losing lower units, spilling drinks all over the boat, etc. it would require tons of maintenance, or at least cleaning between renters.

If you do rip is out yourself, you should have facial and body protection and dispose of it properly.

You can refuse to show it to smokers, cat owners, people with facial tattoos, people taller than 5'3" and even people that are too skinny or fat.Fair Housing  and local laws have protected classes.

Maybe I want to limit exposure to people that might make rash or poor decisions.
