But i'd hate to do that because I feel like there is a disconnect there and I either wouldn't learn from the experience and/or I would overlook something and lose out on some of the return or worse actually be in the red and lose money.

@Igor TomicHardwired detectors are law - so when you renovated, I would plan to change them.We have the $200 fine in our House Rules as an incentive to not disconnect the smoked detectors.

The property is obviously more attractive as a 3 BR and I'd love to be able to buy it as a 2 and rent it as a 3 but don't quite know what to make of the disconnect between the listing and the county records.
