I bought some property in Oakland and Richmond during the financial crisis- but I agree, things are a little hot in the Bay right now..

The worst period for me was leading up to the housing crisis where my tenants were buying homes with NINJA loans. 

The building now was valued the same as before the 2008 financial crisis.

What began as a small downturn in the housing market became a crisis because homeowners with no equity and nothing to lose began walking away from their mortgages, further driving down the market.

I'm no economist, but I am a Houstonian, and I don't see this turning into a foreclosure crisis.

I am sure I am naive but why would people in crisis care who actually buys their property as long as it gets sold in the timeframe discussed and the agreed upon price?  

They made $75-100 million in that recession from those 100+ SFH alone.Coming recession is probably not going to be that severe as the 2008 crisis.
