Those spots are being redeveloped and thus commanding higher rents and people were furious calling the press, lawyers, they picketed outside their complex, But in the end the property owner defended himself saying he was within his rights to increase the rents and You are within your rights to charge what you want for rent, You give proper written notice of increase per the lease terms, He can decide to stay or not.

Yes, @Bill Wild that article on the scam Airbnb business was an eye opener and most shocking was to read of a Bigger Pickets member as the lead of such a unscrupulous affair.

Not sure Steve if you know of the company NACA.. however during the GFC  they got people together and they picketed the big subprime lenders.. seems to me if any investors are near his house they should be there at open house with picket signs along with picket signs in front of Fox news..
