Hey BrentWelcome to BPOne thing I often hear people say is that single family residences and up to 4 unit homes finance based on the buyers credit worthiness while the larger deals finance based on the merits of the deal.

The number of mortgages by itself is a meaningless number and by itself is no indication of credit worthiness or non-credit worthiness.Once a person gets to the 10 limit, the next step is for their spouse to get 10 more mortgages.

Maybe with a few properties it would be manageable but for 300+ it would have taken too much work to transfer payment data into the forms required by the credit reporting agency every month.It's too bad they make it difficult because rent is typically the largest payment made very month and is a great indicator of credit worthiness.
