We obtained a building permit which required a soils compaction report with 95% compaction density.

I used base rock (4-6 inches of class 2 base rock compacted at 2-inch lifts), an inch or so of sand, pavers, and a polymer modified sand (which has a little bit of bonding strength) to fill the joints between pavers and prevent weed growth.

No place really to set down a hair brush or toothbrush. 

If it is not flow from the house, it would likely be the soils unless the leachfield was improperly constructed (such as trench sealing or excess compaction.

@Wes Brand....I just spent 20 min stressing over reserving a rental car (compact for $116 vs mustang $125).   

Basically they force compressed air into the lines to loosen the compacted soil around the lines.

It was my first time driving a bobcat inside a house, I had to bring in 80 ton of fill and compact it.

The soils in this corner ofthe home were most likely disturbed from construction of the home (ie removal of a tree,etc) and those soils have now compacted enough to limit future cracking.
