I think Emilio might be referring to situations where a duplex is served by one boiler (radiant heat) in a Victorian era duplex.

On the east side of downtown Denver are lots of big, old Victorian houses.

I am looking at a purchase that is mixed use (basically large older victorian type home with office space on main two floors and apartments on lower level)  There is a loft on the top floor that would make a really cool 1 bedroom apartment if renovated. 

One of my good investor buddies, Jeff owns one of the Victorian mansions there now.
