They're also finding it convenient to be close to public transit, entertainment venues, sports complexes, gourmet restaurants, and museums.We see this across the country from Brooklyn, NY to Chicago, to Los Angeles.

The venue changes date and location month to month so people can make it when they're available.

Venue ideas? 

The most important factor is where you spend most of your time, but the other factors that are relevant include addresses on documents and proximity to various venues/people.

Any of these would be no different than leaving towels, toilet paper etc.As for decorating, I would think that as you referenced it, then yes it would be like you are running a venue.

Clarkston has a lot of great restaurants, close to a major concert venue and also near a ski area for a winter weekend attraction.
