Hi all,
My husband and I are new on this venture of opening up a real estate investing business. We have little to no experience. We have one measly rental property in Los Angeles and we are looking to expand. Our background has been in health care and so our ultimate goal would be to open turn key long term home care facilities for health care professionals who have been working over 12 hours daily taking care of other people's families while missing out on their own family life. They have to know that there are other means of creating passive income for retirement. I have seen colleagues getting hurt or disabled towards their retirement countdown. Some have literally worked themselves to death. And I do not want that to be the story of our lives. So we have chosen this path.
During our search for our first tenant, we realized how real estate can also be a venue for helping people and their families. Every time we would speak to our tenant, they are always grateful for helping them move out of a garage that had been their home. And we had always felt bad for the families that we had to turn down. I am hoping that we could expand our business to be able to help more families.
We are very brand new at this and so any advise is welcome. And we are hoping to meet with local investors willing to take us under their wing. Anyone in the bay area who would like to go out for coffee, lunch, or dinner sometime???
