I'm hoping to start wholesaling and rehabbing on the side anywhere along the Hartford-New Haven corridor, get some confidence, then take the plunge and quit my day job.

There's an older housing stock with a lot of 2-4 unit properties throughout the state - especially down towards NYC in New Haven and then up through New Britain and Hartford.

If Hartford is a thriving market and the firm is willing to mentor/train you, I think you have an exciting opportunity.  

I live in Stafford, so I have been focusing on Tolland or Hartford County.

Specifically areas like New Britain, East Hartford, Manchester, Bristol, Middletown. 

And Hartford is a city on the edge of bankruptcy.
