Turn off all faucets, check toilets, washer, irrigation even turn the water off to the evap cooler. 

Most the parks stay open till 11 or 12 midnight and it’s a lot cooler and less crowded in the evenings so leave the wife and kids at the pool in the hotel during the day and hit the parks at night.

For our Honolulu, HI rental we provided all basic beach items (cooler too), umbrella (hot rainy days), spice rack, Hawaii coffee and chocolate mac nuts, and a welcome hand written note.

I live in Long Beach and during throughout the summer months I see people walking with all there beach chairs, coolers and boogie boards from the train station to the beach in the morning and back to the station in the afternoon. 

With these dampers you can restrict air to the areas that are a little cooler wich will force more air to the areas that are warmer.You may also consider a "duct booster".

So what your last owner was paying may not be your premium.As Joel mentioned, equipment is cheap second hand, old coolers will likely cost you, check for reapirs done and contracts.

A small 70 CFM bathroom is insufficient.
