@Pike VenaYou find the value by looking at comparable sales in the areaAs for defects it depends on where the house is as to what you look forContractor fees completely depend on the work they'll be doing which you don't know until you have a property but you can learn the cost for common things like paint and flooring.Not sure what you mean by small hidden fees but you'll pay closing costs, insurance, property taxes etc.
