Real estate wealth is built through long term price appreciation, property becomes (usually) more valuable over time, especially if purchased in areas that have either gone through development or redevelopment.  

Appraiser's learned a valuable lesson in 2008 when they were accused of being one of the causes of the great recession.

Since this would be my first long term rental property do you recommend starting with a property manager from the beginning or managing the property myself.I understand that there are pros and cons to all of these scenarios, I'm just looking for various insights.
