I don’t want any free handouts, I am ready to go to work and learn. 

Before considering this, I do not want to set up the precedent that I will just bend whenever people ask for handouts. but I also want to be fair and am looking for unbiased advice on how to respond to this request.

As to the original post that was made months ago...I threw a number out there not a number I think somebody would have sitting around waiting to hand out.  

It's not a good thing....the last thing we need is more government spending and handouts which is going to increase inflation.

It's great to get in the forums and look to make connections, but when you only put your hand out and ask for help and have nothing to give back, you are only going to get people who are going to pitch you.

I know meet GCs through trusted referrals or at trade shows. 

The information was not presented in handout format, but on a screen, so notes had to be taken throughout the weekend so that was disappointing as it was hard to scribble info down quickly and also understand what was important/unimportant.

Will you hand out each piece to contractors? 

I'm experimenting with local trade shows and bus ads, but curious to see what others are doing out there and if that is working well for them!

Don't look for a handout, go build connections.Figure out what your why is.
