Log cabins take a lot of maintenance ( mainly oiling them if your in an area with high temps) I owned one at one time it was beautiful and the wood interior was very inviting.

It can make a double shot in a couple of minutes instead of having to wait for the boiler to get up temp like ours (10 minutes or so).

All the people who do not live there are sitting around in our underwear getting fat on our couches and are like "yeah they are mismanaging a wildfire" and most of us cannot put out a candle never mind a fire - like we are all now experts on how to put out wildfires.... the cow mtn fire in Lake co  Ca in 1981 the fire line was over 10 miles wide and moving at 10 to 15 miles and hour I sat and watched it from my house only thing that kept it from getting to us was the pear orchards. sky is dark as night and ash everywhere and in that fire the temp was about 108 or so.. its other worldly no stopping it.. .same kind of terrain and fuel load as LA vegitation.. heavy brush..

We have an Emerson Sensi that is very easy for the guest to adjust but I can see it and make adjustments as necessary.For the most part, guests are pretty respectful of the temps.

It monitors boiler pressure, temp outside and in each unit, if the system is off or on, and can work to monitor each zone(with some addition to initial setup).

I point the camera at the door so I can see if the door is closed and who is coming in.4) $5 wall mounted big thermometer I use in the winter that is in view of the camera so I can see what the temp is inside 5) Series of signs I printed (Do Use the Toilet, Make Sure to Lock the Back Door, etc etc)All mobile and I can move from property to property :)
