I do not have/use a checklist for what I consider the easier things - like couch, dining table, rugs, mattresses, linens, etc.

Gutted the kitchen and dining/living room area.

Wish I had remodeled the space that is the dining room into an extra room to improve cashflow.

(For context, it's a 2700 sf 4 bd 3 bath house in an upscale Northern California suburb.)Kitchen A: Traditional, features a 48 in fridge, 36 in cooktop, window sink (no view), pantry.Kitchen B: Designer, features a 60 in fridge, 48 in range, large kitchen window (no view), sink facing living/dining room; unfortunately no pantryKitchen C: A Little Bit of Both, features a 48 in fridge, 48 in range, sink facing living/dining room, pantry, unfortunately there's no window.Total countertop space is roughly the same (22 ft)  in all three layouts.

I have just read a book about this, and a business owner spoke about his employees who would take "multiple taxi trips in one day" or "dine at the most expensive restaurants even when alone" its just something that will happen.

If you have a nice yard with a patio, or better yet a view, stage your outdoor dining space with colorful plates and beer mugs.

A stunning bathroom can (and will) certainly make you stand out against the competition!
