I managed STR with my sister twenty years ago before Airbnb existed.

When we responded empathetically to his situation and tried negotiating up to $5k, they said no and shared they will now also be going after my sister for "intimidation".

Purchase price: $110,000 Cash invested: $150,000 This is our first deal as a full family (Parents, sister and brother in law, me).

They need a lot of daily support, therefore we moved them to Oregon so my sister can look after them...

My sister recently moved to HI, and I figured that might be an interesting market because of high rents and HCOL - although also high property values.

There isn't much I can add here except for the local expertise of the Boise area and our sister company property management team get these inquires often from tenants - so we have seen many ways how not to inquire about it and a few good ways haha.
