In cases I have encountered with inherited tenants, often times the official, factual Notice will be enough for pause. 

Anytime there are hurricanes predicted to hit a state in the area you are closing or fires, all lenders will pause funding/closing.

I saw on WLOS that they're saying they're going to pause for 100 days to think about the path forward.
