Harb  the other thing I do with my bank is a I have a secret code... only known to me and my bank so when I am on the road and I have to call in wires I use my secret code.. even though they know my voice and I know them they are my private bankers so same folks for the last decade or longer but we still go through the drill.. like a pilot and co pilot doing sterile cockpit.. they both know the landing gear needs to  be down and 3 in the green.. but they then verbally confirm with one another..

So I have an active trader brokerage account (IBKR) that in all honesty, sometimes I feel like a toddler in the cockpit of an F-18 with it, lol. 

Now that was the day.. letting non pilots up near the controls would not happen today that's for sure.. you get the stink eye if you even look in the cockpit or make an inference that you know anything about aviation.

Here is a list of what I am wanting thus far in a boat- a nice teak interior that doesn't need sanded or varnished- enough sleeping space for 6, and there are plenty of boats for that- cockpit area that offers plenty of seating- a diesel engine that looks like it is in great shape- a good generator, hefty water maker, a washing machine, a water rinse at bow and stern, a place for diving gear, well I could go on- enough seating inside where everyone can eat without touching elbows too much- this will be a live in boat so it needs to be somewhat comfy- I really like the teak work on say the Hans Christian boats, here is a nice 52 for sale for $245,000.00 which is in my dream budget. 

It's like walking up to a 727's cockpit and saying "Ho do you fly this" and the pilot goes into the weeds of the 144,000 knobs, dials and details when all one was looking for is "you push the throttle here, steer here, pull back and ZOOOmmmmm away we go" lol.

In fact, start with your local college and learn the basics before you pay to get into a cockpit.- Flying is very local. 

In an airplane, there are the General Partners in the cockpit who fly the airplane (find deal, negotiate, find investors, line up lending, manage the 3rd party property management, operate the investment).

Not until I found myself in a cockpit of a 1969 Piper Cherokee 140 with my flight instructor coming down from a cross wind landing when I saw a windsock and had a bright idea.

Because you're not going to find 525 passengers (investors) to get in the plane with you if it's your first time in the cockpit, but you may be able to find 1 for the 152.Your enthusiasm and can-do mindset are wonderful, but as they say in the study of Logic, they are necessary, but not sufficient, conditions.
