I believe they are a good third or fourth choice to round out a portfolio, after filling more core/conservative positions with Blackstone BREIT, StREITWise.

If so there are about 15 or 20 different syndication/crowdfunding funds that are available, that span from conservative core plus real estate (like Blackstone BREIT that invests in multifamily and commercial real estate) to very aggressive/speculative ground up construction (like some of the Fundrise funds that invest in building brand-new houses) and everything in between.

Im currently around 50% Real Estate and 50% CashRE Breakdown:50% hard money debt funds (short term, low ltv)40% Syndications (Value Add Multi, Self Storage, MHP, etc)10% non-traded public REIT (Blackstone BREIT)Look foward to getting a glimpse into everyone's portfolios :)

FWIW, Home Partners of America was recently acquired by Blackstone's Real Estate Income Trust ("BREIT"). 

The 200 pound gorilla is BlackRock Real estate investment trust (BREIT). 

However, there is a decent core plus fund called Blackstone Breit.

In this case, I personally feel that they do have a debt fund which might be a good choice for a non-accredited investor, after making a larger core investment in another fund like Blackstone’s core plus strategy fund BREIT. 

I can claim I'm right again lol :) dude BREIT has 10% positive return this year, it's Asian investor that's withdrawing money, they need US Dollar I guess.if world reserve currency is lost ?
