If you are proficient with Quickbooks or another bookkeeping software then Cozy can be a nice way to go for an Owner managed setup.

I want to become proficient in this area before I just invest a chuck of money.

When you only own 1 or 2 you never become proficient with handling them and because you only have a small number there are more ups and DOWNS!
