I own multiple properties in the Caribbean and not a stranger to foreign deals and owning foreign assets.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with traveling to the Caribbean or buying properties in the Caribbean.

They're an important clientele for short-term rentals so being easily accessible from the capital by road is a big plus.If you exclude Mexico as a Caribbean destination, the Dominican Republic is by far the number 1 tourism destination in the Caribbean and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.

Does anyone know of any lenders that will lend on residential development projects (SF) in the Caribbean?  

I have explored this idea in the Caribbean and South America a few times and never pulled the trigger as it was too much headache.
