Charelston SCthese are just a few I am sure I left out a couple other gems.. but for LONG TERM investing IE own it until its free and clear these are the states and areas I personally would prefer to have a paid for asset as I know in 30 years I will have protected my principal and have made in or give it a 95% chance a boat load of equity on top of the drip cash flow.

You can find some off market gems if you put in the work.Calculate rent/expenses as if you weren't occupying to assess the deal then figure out what you would be paying out of pocket.
