What ended up happening is that I ended up massively depressed, homeless, and with no future at all.

A college education has its advantages, but it also has its limitations because of the way many degree programs are taught and the way traditional employers treat back-to-school education programs (the more job-related courses you take in your field, the more raises you are supposed to get).When the Cold War ended and President Bush declared a "peace dividend" in the early 1990s, homeless shelters in Silicon Valley reported some of their clientele had advanced degrees (many tech firms are in the aerospace-defense business).

I am currently looking for property owners in the Indianapolis, IN area who might be interested in leasing their properties to my nonprofit organization, Homeless Veterans Initiative Program, instead of leasing to traditional tenants!. 

Not picking the right lender made me homeless for a few weeks because I had set up my apartment lease to end at the same time as closing. 

One day I drove by and saw a homeless guy slept on the mattress that one of the students threw out.  

If there are homeless roaming the streets INSIDE the neighborhood (not just on the corner at the convenience store), that would be a red flag.

Being a veteran myself, it really touches my heart to know that there are so many homeless veterans.
