Their balconies or decks also don't have the privacy that the upper floors have.

Hi @Lum Zuna, welcome.The main purposes for an LLC are 1) limiting your liability in the case of a lawsuit, 2) privacy, 3) tax strategies.

I cannot imagine that a STR would be any different than a longer term rental in terms of tenant privacy?  

Only way to make this work was to find a SFH with separate dwelling unit so we had our own living space and privacy.

I'm just trying to keep dust down and privacy. 

I've never told a title company the name of a tenant - I'm not sure that with privacy laws that it would be permissible to do so. 

There was no other way to put the fence because if fence were to be put on the lower side then it would offer no privacy for us.

We see this community serving young families in metro Nashville, who want more privacy and more of a “house-feeling” than an apartment.

We will be living on the property, but it's already split in half by a fence so guests will have privacy.
